These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MenuMind iOS application ("the app"), operated by Sachin Kumaran ("we," "our"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
MenuMind digitizes restaurant menus and receipts you photograph, using artificial intelligence, and provides related features such as bill building, bill splitting, allergen flagging, translations, and dish suggestions. Some features require an internet connection and are subject to fair-usage limits.
Menu items, prices, calories, translations, currency conversions, allergen flags, and recommendations shown in the app are generated by AI and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify prices and your bill with the restaurant before ordering or paying.
Allergen detection is not medical advice. It is an automated aid based on menu text only; it cannot know a kitchen's actual ingredients or cross-contamination practices. If you have a food allergy, always confirm directly with the restaurant. You use allergen information at your own risk.
You agree not to: (a) abuse, overload, probe, or circumvent the app's usage limits or security measures; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code except as permitted by law; (c) use the app for any unlawful purpose; or (d) scan images you do not have the right to use. We may suspend access from devices that violate these Terms or abuse the service.
You retain all rights to the photos you scan. You grant us the limited right to transmit them to our AI processing providers solely to provide the app's features to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights other than the personal, non-transferable right to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ACCURACY OF RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT (INCLUDING ALLERGEN INFORMATION, PRICES, OR BILL CALCULATIONS), ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may stop using the app at any time; deleting the app removes locally stored data. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
We may modify the app or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
